In July I asked for your prayers for a short-term mission team that came from Arkansas. I write to thank you for your prayers now that they have completed their ministry here. In spite of some obstacles that came, their visits to schools, evangelistic campaigns, leadership training and ministry to the sick were very succesful. Many people came to know our Lord and several others’ hearts were opened. Many sick people were healed (a future newsletter will give exciting details!). The team served the Lord and the Jacalteco people whole-heartedly and I am very thankful for all they did to minister with excellence here.
Now I would like to ask for two new prayer requests. We are praying for the healing of a three month old baby named Sandra Gabriela who is in the hospital here in Jacaltenango. She has been diagnosed with pneumonia among other health problems and has had trouble swallowing. Also, local Christians from two of the churches that were trained by the mission team from Arkansas will begin their churches’ healing ministry tomorrow (Thursday) by going out to pray for the sick in their communities. Please pray that this will be a tremendous beginning to a powerful ministry!
Very Thankful for your Prayers,
Tony Taylor
